About the company: Our client is a market leader in the Civil Construction Sector working on large bridge, road, and water projects across NSW & QLD  and has a wealth of expertise gained from continual delivery of high-profile projects They are now able to provide complex engineering solutions to the civil, commercial, residential and government sectors in Australia. About the Roles: Our client is actively seeking a Quantity Surveyor from a civil engineering background to work across a number of large-scale civil projects from conception through to delivery. 
 
Duties:
• Reporting to a Commercial Manager
• liaise with internal teams, suppliers, clients, designers, etc
• Get involved in projects from inception to hand over of final accounts
• Cost planning, estimation, forecasting, budgeting, weekly and monthly reporting
• Subcontractor management
• Keeping an accurate and detailed eye on finances during the construction stage
• Managing cost variations and claims
• Finalising invoices and accounts
• Report writing

About the Requirements:
• Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying or related field
• A proven background in civil Engineering
• Knowledge of the Australian Civil Sector will be a huge advantage. 
• Have a hands-on and can-do attitude
• Ability to work as part of a project team
• Accurate record keeping
• Adapt to change to n site and within the project
• Can take the initiative
• Good communication skills - liaising with internal & external clients
