About the role
Working within the Midwest Mental Health Portal, the Social Worker/Mental Health Clinician is responsible for providing a holistic service to indigenous & non-indigenous individuals experiencing severe & persistent mental health issues. This will involve providing a range of clinical assessments & interventions, therapy sessions, care management and more.
The Mental Health Clinician will also provide high-quality psychoeducation, psychotherapies, assertive support & follow ups and play a vital role in collaborating with internal & external stakeholders/services to ensure client's needs are met in an engaging & professional manner. Conducting remote/outreach trips once per month will also be a responsibility of this role.
Key selection criteria - Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work
- Full registration with relevant membership body (AASW)
- Demonstrated experience in supporting people with mental health issues - ideal
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- New graduates passionate about supporting people with mental health issues & looking for support to become mental health accredited with AASW welcome to apply
