Project Risk Consultant – Major Infrastructure & Defence Portfolio

What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the identification, assessment, and analysis of project risks across the lifecycle of major infrastructure and defence projects
- Developing and implementing robust risk management frameworks, strategies, and mitigation plans
- Engaging with stakeholders to facilitate risk workshops, validate risk registers, and integrate risk considerations into project planning
- Conducting quantitative and qualitative risk analysis, scenario planning, and contingency development
- Preparing clear, tailored reporting and client-ready deliverables (risk reports, dashboards, presentations) on risk exposure and mitigation effectiveness
- Identifying opportunities for value enhancement and proactive risk reduction within project portfolios
- Applying best-practice risk management methodologies and project controls principles
What They’re Looking For
- 5+ years in risk management/project controls roles within construction, infrastructure, or defence sectors
- Australian Citizenship or full working rights
- Qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Risk Management, or similar
- Strong grounding in risk management principles, methodologies (e.g., ISO 31000), and their application in complex projects
- Advanced experience using risk management software (e.g., Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk, Safran Risk)
- Confident communicator with experience facing clients and managing expectations
- Someone comfortable leading tasks autonomously while supporting junior team members
- Understanding of project controls frameworks and broader project management principles
- Consultancy experience is a strong advantage.
