About the role As the Psychosocial Support Worker, you will assist clients with mental health issues living in the community & who may have co-existing disabilities and/or complex needs.
You will be responsible for the assessment of clients to develop their recovery action plans and you will work closely with the client, families and other stakeholders towards capacity building in the areas of community access, inclusion and day to day living.
Key selection criteria - Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or Certificate IV minimum in mental health, community etc.
- Full registration with relevant membership body
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role in the mental health/community sector
- Experience in the provision of capacity building to support clients with mental health issues
- Experience & knowledge in recovery oriented, trauma-informed & client centred care
