Key Responsibilities - Identify and implement intervention approaches and strategies that are evidence based, holistic, client-centred and outcome driven
- Conduct Functional behaviour assessment
- Identification of restrictive practice's
- Write behaviour support plans (interim and comprehensive) Plan, deliver and evaluate behaviour supports relating to the individual’s needs in line with the Disability Services Standards, Child Safety, NDIS and other relevant legislative requirement
- Utilize & provide a range of assessment tools & techniques
- Support clients & other stakeholders to develop & review support plans
- Advocate for clients, their carers and families to enable choice and decision making that supports independence and quality of life.
Selection criteria - Passion for working with people with a disability
- Assessed as Provisional & above by the NDIS commission against the PBS capability framework.
- Experience in positive behaviour support, applied behaviour analysis or a related field
- Drivers licence/ registered vehicle
- NDIS Workers Disability Check and/or Working with Children Check
- National police check, WWCC, and a drivers’ license essential
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination (or valid exemption)
- The ability to develop & deliver therapy based programs & assessments
