About the organisation A renown primary healthcare service provider based in Regional WA, they focus on providing essential healthcare services such as mental health, allied health, general health care & more support to those living in remote & rural communities. These services are vital & aim to improve health outcomes in these underserved areas by offering accessible and culturally appropriate healthcare.
Key responsibilities - Conduct & partake in the triage, screening & assessments of clients experiencing high prevalence mental health issues or clients at risk of suicide or self-harm.
- Provide mental health assessment of clients across the age range.
- Provide evidence-based interventions, counselling sessions & suicide prevention & support services.
- Conduct risk assessments & safety planning of clients experiencing suicidal ideation or issues of self-harm.
- Provide effective case management of clients.

Key selection criteria - Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or Occupational Therapy.
- Full registration with relevant membership body (AHPRA, AASW etc.) - Mental Health accredited if a nurse.
- 1.5+ years experience working as a mental health clinician.
- Demonstrated experience providing psychological interventions & conducting assessments.
- Demonstrated experience in risk assessment and safety planning to clients experiencing suicidal ideation or issues of self-harm.
- Provisional psychologists with relevant experience welcome to apply.
