About the role Working within the Midwest Mental Health Portal, the Mental Health Clinician is responsible for providing a holistic service to indigenous & non-indigenous individuals experiencing severe & persistent mental health issues. This will involve providing intake/assessments, a range of clinical assessments & interventions, therapy sessions, care management and more.
The Mental Health Clinician will also provide high-quality psychoeducation, psychotherapies, assertive support & follow ups and play a vital role in collaborating with internal & external stakeholders/services to ensure client's needs are met in an engaging & professional manner. Conducting remote/outreach trips will also be a responsibility of this role.

Key selection criteria - Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Nursing or Social Work
- Full registration with AHPRA as a Registered/Clinical Psychologist or Nurse and AASW as a Mental Health Accredited Social Worker
- Demonstrated experience in supporting people with mental health issues
- Demonstrated experience in conducting intake & assessment responsibilities
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
