They now have a unique opportunity for a mental health clinician to join their Suicide Intervention Program providing support to clients who have attempted or are at moderate to high risk of suicide

Key responsibilities
  • Provide short term counselling and support for clients who have been assessed to be at moderate to high risk of suicide, who have attempted suicide or display self-harming behaviours. 
  • Develop detailed safety plans in collaboration with clients following appropriate risk assessments. 
  • Perform initial intake assessment/program triage function as required. 
  • Assist with facilitation or co-facilitation of group programs as required.
  • Be able to respond to active clients who may be in crisis situations. 
Key selection criteria 
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or Nursing. 
  • Full registration as a Registered/Clinical Psychologist or Nurse with AHPRA or AASW as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. 
  • Demonstrated experience working with clients with mental health & psychosocial conditions including those at risk of suicide. 
  • Highly developed knowledge & skills in assessment and counselling.
