The opportunity
This newly created opportunity based in Regional WA has arisen due to the organisation being the selected provider for mental health therapies for a national pilot program running to the end of June 2028. This critical service forms part of the Recovery & Healing pillar of the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children. 
  
The role 
This pivotal leadership role as the Clinical Lead (Psychologist) provides clinical governance, supervision and strategic direction to a multidisciplinary team supporting victim-survivors of family, domestic and sexual violence, including children where appropriate. The service is recovery-oriented, culturally safe and designed for individuals who are no longer in crisis. You will balance the leadership responsibilities & clinical duties with active participation and engagement with reference groups (cultural & lived experience) and key agencies in the community to establish & maintain working relationships also.
  
Key responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing the development & implementation of evidence-based clinical services, policies & service standards
  • Ensuring delivery of trauma-informed, recovery oriented & culturally appropriate care
  • Contributing to service development & pilot implementation activities
  • Providing clinical leadership, supervision & development of clinical practices & approaches of clinical staff
  • Supporting workforce development, recruitment, mentoring, caseload management, and overall management of staff
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, advocating for supports if crisis emerges and more
About you
You are an experienced clinical leader with a strong background in mental health service delivery and extensive experience in the provision & delivery of mental health therapies within the family, domestic, sexual violence domain.
  
Essential requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology with full AHPRA registration and accreditation as a Clinical Psychologist/Registered Psychologist
  • Demonstrated & extensive experience in providing a range of psychological interventions & counselling to individuals & groups
  • Extensive experience supporting victim-survivors of family, domestic & sexual violence
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented practice, and social and emotional wellbeing (SEWB) for First Nations people & communities
  • Advanced clinical supervision & mentoring capability, including the support & professional development of early-career clinicians
  • High level interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to relate to and work with a wide range of internal & external stakeholders
